Sony and Rockstar Games have teamed up to release a pair of limited-edition PlayStation 5 DualSense controllers inspired by Grand Theft Auto VI and its neon-drenched Vice City setting.

The announcement came during the September 2026 PlayStation State of Play, where Sony unveiled two new controllers designed to coincide with the game’s November 19 release.
Two Controllers, Two Sides of Vice City
One controller features a white shell, representing Vice City at daybreak, while the other sports a black shell to capture the city’s vibrant nightlife. Both controllers sport the iconic “VI” logo on the touchpad and feature a shimmering, colour-shifting finish that brings together the hues of a Vice City sunset and the glow of neon lights.
They also feature custom palm tree details moulded directly into the controller, adding a unique tactile element alongside official Grand Theft Auto VI branding.
“The black and white limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers each capture the essence of Vice City, from bright days along the coast to vibrant city nights. Both editions feature a shimmering, color-shifting finish that brings together the hues of a Vice City sunset and the glow of neon lights.” — Sony press release
Price and Pre-Order Details
The controllers are priced at:
- $84.99 USD
- €84.99
- £74.99
- ¥12,480 (including tax)
Pre-orders open on September 10, 2026 at 10:00am local time. The controllers are described as “limited edition,” meaning they may not stay in stock for long.
A Growing Partnership
The controller reveal comes as part of a broader partnership between Sony and Rockstar. Sony has been marketing GTA 6 as “playing best on PS5,” and the game’s recent Extended Look on Netflix was captured entirely on a base PlayStation 5.
The controllers will be available around the time of GTA VI‘s launch on November 19, 2026. Pre-loads for the game begin a week earlier, on November 12, allowing players to download the game ahead of launch.
