After more than two years in Early Access, Palworld is finally preparing for its full 1.0 launch on July 10, 2026. The game that sold over 7 million copies in its first five days back in January 2024 has evolved through numerous updates, and now Pocketpair is ready to deliver the definitive version. A cinematic trailer during Summer Game Fest 2026 revealed the release date and teased several major features. Here’s everything officially confirmed so far.

The World Tree – A New Endgame Region
The most anticipated addition is the World Tree, which has loomed in the distance since the game’s Early Access launch. In version 1.0, players will finally be able to visit this mysterious location and its surrounding region. The World Tree is positioned as an endgame area, likely hosting the final challenges and story conclusion. Pocketpair has hinted that even more locations could come in a potential “Palworld 2.0” update later.
New Pals Revealed
The 1.0 trailer and subsequent teasers have showcased several brand‑new Pals:
- Dupin – A cat‑like jester in black and white with red pom‑poms on its ears. Its element is unconfirmed, but its dark, trickster nature suggests a Dark type.
- Gray/Orange Dragon – A massive dragon resembling Astegon, seen charging a fire attack. Likely Fire/Dragon element.
- Panda Pal – A small, feminine panda (different from Mossanda) with a green color scheme. Could be Grass or Neutral element.
- Sky Dragon (Loong) – A serpentine Chinese dragon with a lion‑like mane, fought while riding a Jetragon. Almost certainly a Dragon element.
- Sword Eel Pal – A unique eel‑like Pal that the player wields as a blade, unsheathing a serrated edge. Likely Water or possibly Steel element.
- World Tree Guardian – A massive tentacled Pal towering over the World Tree, shown briefly at the end of the trailer. Likely the final boss or key endgame encounter.
Not all have been officially named, but their designs hint at a diverse endgame roster.
Gameplay Overhauls and Progression
Communications lead John Buckley (Bucky) has emphasised that 1.0 is much more than an endgame patch. Pocketpair has reworked progression across the entire game – early and mid‑game sections will feel more balanced and complete. Smaller updates have slowed down in recent weeks as the team focused entirely on polishing the 1.0 experience. Jumping back into Palworld right now may feel jarring because so many systems are about to change.
No Save Wipe – Global Palbox Confirmed
Players worried about losing hundreds of hours of progress can breathe easy. Pocketpair has confirmed that saves will not be wiped. However, for the best experience, the developers recommend starting a new world after 1.0 launches – but this is optional. Even if you start fresh, you won’t lose your favourite Pals. The new Global Palbox allows players to transfer tamed Pals between pre‑1.0 worlds and new 1.0 worlds. So you can bring your strongest fighters into the World Tree region without replaying everything.
