A streamer who was invited to see Grand Theft Auto VI early has shed some more light on certain gameplay features which were not elaborated upon in the Extended Look.

Streamer ElRubius, who was invited by Rockstar Games to see a hands-off early look at GTA 6 earlier in the year, has discussed everything that he saw in his latest stream. Some of these details were already seen in the Extended Look which aired on Netflix last week, but this new information from ElRubius delves into the topic with more detail.
Manual Flips and Dives
Backflips when jumping into water are manually controlled in the air, similar to how you can do flips while in the air in Marvel’s Spider-Man. This adds a layer of control and style to aquatic exploration.
Cigarettes and Focus Meter
You can buy cigarettes, and the smoking animation “actually lasts for a while” — unlike the quick inhalation in Red Dead Redemption 2. It also fills your Focus metre, which acts like RDR2‘s Dead Eye, allowing for more precise shooting.
NPC Interaction and Density
There is an interaction menu for any character in the game, with “way more dialogue lines than RDR2”. NPC density is also said to be massive, making Vice City feel more alive than ever.
No Children NPCs
ElRubius confirmed that there will be no children NPCs in the game, for obvious reasons.
Vehicles as Mobile Storage
Vehicles work similarly to how horses behaved in Red Dead Redemption 2, allowing you to store heavy weapons and extra outfits in the boot of your personal vehicle. You can also request that your car be delivered to your location using an app.
Higher-end cars come with GPS trackers, so stealing one requires you to take it to a mechanic to get the tracker removed. You can also use Focus before stealing a car to reveal nearby cops, as well as the vehicle’s value.
Driving Physics
ElRubius says that the driving combines the weight of GTA IV‘s driving with the reactivity of GTA V — a blend that should please fans of both entries.
Full Limb Dismemberment
The game will feature full limb dismemberment during combat, allowing for more brutal and realistic firefights. This includes the ability to blow off arms, legs, and heads.
Pawn Shops
You can sell stolen goods at pawn shops located throughout the map, adding a new layer to the game’s economy.

TikTok-Style Social Network
A TikTok-style social network will be present in the game, which you can use to find certain information depending on what is being broadcast. This appears to be an evolution of the in-game social media teased in previous trailers.
All-in-all, it sounds like there were a lot of things Rockstar revealed during the previews that weren’t shown in the Extended Look. With only a few months left to go until launch, it won’t be long until the community can discover these features for themselves.
GTA 6 will launch on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
