AMD Solidifies AM5’s Future with Zen 6
AMD has officially confirmed that two upcoming Zen 6 client processor families will support the AM5 platform. The two families are Olympic Ridge, the next-generation mainstream desktop CPU, and Medusa1, a more flexible APU family.

Olympic Ridge: The Zen 6 Desktop Flagship
Olympic Ridge is positioned as the direct successor to AMD’s current Ryzen 9000 series. While official specifications remain unconfirmed, previous leaks suggest a significant leap in core counts and architectural features.

AMD had already extended its official support commitment for the AM5 socket through at least 2029, and these new entries are concrete evidence that the platform will span at least two major CPU architectures: the current Zen 4, the current Zen 5, and the upcoming Zen 6.
