Recent datamining has finally revealed the full banner lineup for Genshin Impact Version 6.6, an update that promises to be all about Pyro and the Hexerei. While the new characters have generated excitement, some players remain concerned about the balance between Hexerei teams and the dominant Lunar Reaction archetype.

The Banner Lineup
According to reliable leaker Kuroo, the Event Banners for Version 6.6 are split as follows:
First Half (starting May 20, 2026)
- Nicole (5-Star Pyro Catalyst) – A support character providing ATK buffs, a shield, and coordinated attacks.
- Durin (5-Star Pyro Sword) – A sub-DPS who synergizes well with Varka and other Hexerei characters.
Second Half (starting June 10, 2026)
- Lohen (5-Star Cryo Polearm) – A hypercarry whose playstyle rewards teaming up with sub-DPS characters like Durin or Xiangling. He is rumored to be added to the Standard Banner after his debut.
- Mavuika (5-Star Pyro Claymore) – The beloved Archon of Natlan returns, offering a powerful on-field DPS option.
The 4-Star lineup remains unconfirmed due to a lack of Trial Run changes in the beta, but Prune (4-Star Anemo Catalyst), who was drip‑marketed alongside Lohen, is expected to feature on the second half banner. Many players are also hoping for Chevreuse to appear on Mavuika’s banner.
The Hexerei vs. Lunar Reaction Debate
Version 6.6 introduces three Hexerei characters: Nicole, Lohen, and Prune. On paper, they offer fresh team-building options. Nicole provides universal support, Lohen is a dynamic Cryo DPS, and Prune boosts ATK for Hexerei teammates. However, some players are dissatisfied because Lunar Reaction teams (introduced in Nod-Krai) currently have a much higher damage ceiling than any other archetype.
A Hexerei hypercarry like Varka cannot compete with top Lunar characters such as Zibai, Flins, or Nefer at equal investment levels. Nicole’s arrival has not bridged the gap as much as players had hoped.

Should You Pull?
Despite the balance concerns, most Genshin Impact characters can clear the majority of endgame content. Only the highest difficulties require optimal teams or high investment. If you enjoy a character’s playstyle, that should be your primary consideration.
Version 6.6 offers two engaging hypercarries (Mavuika and Lohen) and two flexible supports (Nicole and Durin) that can slot into various teams. Lohen, in particular, may become a welcome addition to the Standard Banner—making future lost 50:50s much less painful.
