Following the drip marketing for Nicole, HoYoverse Genshin Impact has officially revealed the next member of the Hexerei: Lohen, a 5-Star Cryo Polearm. His release date is set for June 10, 2026, during the second half of Version 6.6, where he will share the Event Banner with Mavuika.

A Hypercarry for Hexerei Teams
Unlike Nicole, who serves as a support, Lohen is a pure hypercarry designed to shine in Hexerei compositions. His ability kit revolves around infusing his Normal and Charged Attacks with Cryo, generating stacks through his own damage and that of his teammates. Personal stacks unlock a special Elemental Skill whose potency scales with the number of teammate stacks. This makes Durin his ideal partner, though Xiangling is a viable (and cheaper) alternative when paired with another Hexerei character.
Lore and Personality
Lohen is a Vice Captain in the Knights of Favonius, specifically belonging to the Fifth Company, which specializes in ranged combat. Ironically, Lohen prefers to fight on the front lines, wielding a polearm and a dagger (the latter appears during his Elemental Burst). His drip marketing portrays him as a courteous gentleman, but those familiar with his personality know that couldn’t be further from the truth—he shares a love for battle reminiscent of Tartaglia.
Standard Banner Rumors
One of the most exciting aspects of Lohen is the persistent rumor that he will be added to the Standard Banner after his debut. If true, losing a 50:50 after Version 6.6 could yield Lohen—a character players would actually welcome, much like Tighnari during the Sumeru era. His competitive kit and flexible team building make him a valuable addition to any account.
However, his Signature Weapon will only return during the next Mondstadt Chronicled Banner. Players who want a more complete version of Lohen may wish to pull on the Weapon Banner instead, and either pick him up later via the Standard Banner or through the Anniversary Selector in September 2026.

4-Star Companions
Given that Prune was announced on the same day as Lohen, it’s likely that she will be one of the 4-Star characters featured on his banner. Official confirmation will come during the next Special Program.
