“Death Stranding 2 and Mafia: The Old Country launching this summer are great indications that GTA 6 is still releasing this fall,” the account tweeted. “The industry is clearing the way for it, knowing there’s no competition.”
This theory makes sense—publishers often avoid releasing games near blockbuster titles like GTA VI to avoid being overshadowed.

Interestingly, Mafia: The Old Country is published by 2K, a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive. This has led some fans to speculate that Take-Two might have insider knowledge about GTA 6’s release date, using it to strategically schedule Mafia’s launch.
