The RTX 5090 That Costs as Much as Three RTX 5080s
GIGABYTE’s new AORUS INFINITY series has reached the company’s European store, and the pricing is nothing short of astonishing. With Germany selected, the AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 INFINITY 32G is listed at €6,194.84 including VAT.
To put that in perspective, NVIDIA’s official MSRP for the RTX 5090 in Europe is €2,329. The AORUS INFINITY commands a €3,865.84 premium over that baseline—an eye-watering 166% markup. This is also dramatically more expensive than other AORUS RTX 5090 cards listed by the same store. The RTX 5090 STEALTH ICE, for example, is shown at €4,609.80 on the German offer page.
A Premium Card with a Premium Price Tag
The AORUS INFINITY series features GIGABYTE’s latest triple-fan cooling design with a distinctive aesthetic. The RTX 5090 INFINITY is the flagship of the lineup, and its price reflects that positioning—but the gap between it and other models is staggering. You can literally buy three RTX 5080 INFINITY cards (€1,861.54 each) for less than the price of a single RTX 5090 INFINITY.
The rest of the INFINITY series is expensive as well, but none come close to the 5090’s astronomical figure:

Why Is It So Expensive?
The RTX 5090 has been subject to extreme pricing pressure since its launch, driven by a combination of factors: soaring GDDR7 memory costs, rising TSMC wafer prices, and relentless demand from AI data centers. Retail prices have already doubled the original $1,999 MSRP in many markets. The AORUS INFINITY takes that inflation to another level, adding a significant premium for GIGABYTE’s premium cooling and design.
Previously, we reported that the INFINITY series had reached Newegg in the US, where the RTX 5070, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5080 models were listed for up to $901 above NVIDIA’s original US MSRP. The RTX 5090 was missing from US retail at the time. Europe has now filled in that missing piece—though at a price few could have anticipated.
