In Avatar: Fire and Ash, the long-running conflict between Jake Sully and Colonel Miles Quaritch reaches another climax. In a final confrontation, Quaritch rejects Jake’s offer of peace and deliberately plunges into a fiery inferno. While the scene strongly implied his death, the absence of a confirmed body left room for doubt—a common narrative tactic in blockbuster storytelling.
That doubt now seems resolved thanks to the game’s latest DLC. In a post-credits voice clip, Colonel Quaritch is heard speaking to Major Bukowski, giving clear orders about regrouping forces and referring to losses suffered at the hands of the Na’vi. The dialogue not only confirms Quaritch survived the fiery finale but also places him back in a position of command, actively strategizing for the next phase of conflict.
This revelation is significant for several reasons. First, it suggests that Quaritch will return as a central antagonist in the planned Avatar 4.
