The Witcher 3 Celebrates Special Xbox Controller
It’s hard to believe, but it’s been a full decade since Geralt of Rivia rode into our lives in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. To celebrate this monumental anniversary, CD Projekt Red has teamed up with Xbox for a special release that fans won’t want to miss.

This isn’t a new game or expansion, but something for the dedicated collector: a beautifully designed, custom Xbox controller inspired by the game’s iconic imagery.
The new controller designs are available now through the Xbox Design Lab. This service allows you to personalize your own controller with unique colors and engravings. For this anniversary, you can now officially adorn your controller with the symbols of the School of the Wolf.
The standout feature of this design is the prominent Wolf School medallion etched across the front faceplate. This is the same medallion Geralt wears in the game, which vibrates to warn him of nearby danger. The design is completed with the iconic red slashes that will be instantly recognizable to any fan of the series.
It’s important to note that this is a custom skin you add to a controller build. The medallion design itself adds an extra £12.99 to the base cost. A standard wireless controller with this design starts at approximately £82.98 before any other customizations like rubberized grips or an engraved gamertag, which can increase the price.
For those who invest in it, the controller is fully functional with Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles. It also supports Bluetooth, making it compatible with PCs and mobile devices for a full range of gaming.
While celebrating the past, CD Projekt Red is also charging full speed ahead into the future of the franchise. The studio has confirmed that the next mainline game, currently known as The Witcher 4, is in development. It is set to be the beginning of a new saga, potentially focusing on the fan-favorite character Ciri.
Beyond that, a full remake of the very first The Witcher game is in the works, built from the ground up with Unreal Engine 5. This promises to modernize the original story for a new generation of players.
