Hogwarts Legacy Mod
One of the most requested features missing from the magical world of Hogwarts Legacy has finally been brought to life, not by the developers, but by the game’s dedicated modding community. A new, free mod introduces a fully-fledged House Point system, adding a layer of competition and consequence that many fans felt was essential for a true Hogwarts experience.

The mod, aptly named ‘House Point System,’ was created by modder Damien92 and is available for free on CurseForge. It leverages the official modding tools that Avalanche Software released in 2025, allowing for a more integrated and stable addition to the game.
This system does exactly what fans of the Harry Potter series would expect: it tracks the player’s actions and assigns points to their house accordingly. Your moral choices in quests, performance in certain events, and completion of timed tasks will now either earn points for your house or see them deducted. This forces players to think more carefully about their decisions, as a reckless act could cost Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, or Slytherin the coveted House Cup.
The addition of this system addresses a long-standing wish from the community. While the original game immersed players in the castle and its lore, the lack of a meaningful house competition was a notable omission for many. This mod fills that gap, making the school feel more alive and reactive to the player’s journey.

As with most mods, this feature is exclusively available for the PC version of the game. For console players, the experience remains as the developers originally intended. However, this impressive fan-made creation demonstrates the passionate creativity of the community and sets a high bar for potential official features in a future sequel.
