It has been nearly a year since the last official Grand Theft Auto VI trailer dropped. And as April begins, fans are once again marking their calendars, hoping that the elusive third trailer is finally on the horizon.

The first trailer for GTA VI arrived in December 2023, shattering records and confirming a return to Vice City. The second followed in May 2025, offering more glimpses of protagonists Jason and Lucia. Since then, the game has been delayed twice, and the silence from Rockstar Games has been deafening.
Now, with the start of Take-Two Interactive’s new fiscal year on April 1, speculation has reignited. The GTA VI Countdown Twitter account noted that Take-Two will share its initial outlook for the fiscal year in next month’s earnings call, and that “launch marketing is set to begin this Summer.”
The Summer Reality
The key phrase is “this Summer.” Summer officially begins in June. That means a major marketing push—including Trailer 3—is more likely to land in June, July, or August than in April. Industry insiders like Tom Henderson have consistently pointed to an early August window for the next trailer.
That hasn’t stopped fans from hoping. “Hopefully, we hear something around the next earnings call in May,” one user replied. Others are more patient, noting that “there are still eight months ahead and a lot of content.”
Today marks the beginning of Take-Two’s new fiscal year, led by GTA 6’s release on November 19 with Rockstar’s launch marketing set to begin this Summer.

What to Expect
When Trailer 3 does arrive, it is expected to be a gameplay showcase. The first two trailers were largely cinematic, establishing tone and characters. The third should offer the first extended look at combat, driving, and the living world of Vice City. It will likely also coincide with the opening of digital pre‑orders and the final pricing announcement.
