Ghost of Yotei’s Free Update Is Live
The critically acclaimed Ghost of Yotei has just received a substantial free update, giving players a compelling reason to return to its beautiful and brutal world. Update 1.100, now available to download on PlayStation 5, delivers a host of highly requested features headlined by a full New Game+ mode.
This allows players to restart the story of Atsu’s quest for vengeance while retaining all the weapons, armor, and abilities they unlocked during their first playthrough. This means you can experience the cinematic narrative from the beginning with a fully powered-up character, bringing end-game gear to early fights for a fresh and empowering experience.
To accompany New Game+, the update introduces a new in-game vendor who sells exclusive items. Players can earn a new currency called “Ghost Flowers” throughout the world to purchase brand-new cosmetic items, powerful charms, and two entirely new armor sets. Two new trophies have also been added for completionists to hunt down.
Beyond the New Game+ features, the update is packed with quality-of-life improvements and new options. A new visual indicator has been added to make it easier to follow guiding animals, and touchpad swipe functions can now be remapped to the D-pad for more traditional control.
