Genshin Pre-Installation Function Now Available
The Genshin Impact pre-Installation Function is Now Available, find the details below.
Travelers can now enable the pre-installation function on mobile, PC, and PlayStation® to download some of the new resources in advance. After the pre-installation process is complete, Travelers can experience the new version content faster once the update maintenance period is finished.
How to Pre-Install
- Mobile (iOS and Android)
Please note:
- When the version update is released, Travelers on Android devices may open the game and follow the directions on-screen (or open Google Play and tap Update).
- Following the App Store’s requirements, when the version update is released, Travelers on iOS devices must enter the App Store and tap Update. The update requires large storage space and we recommend that Travelers update over a Wi-Fi connection.
- Once the pre-installation is complete on mobile devices (iOS or Android), after the version update is released, the time that the game spends updating resources on the login page will be significantly reduced.
- Travelers on mobile platforms will be unable to play the game while pre-installing game resources. It’s recommended that Travelers complete any Domains or other challenges they wish to finish first before beginning the pre-installation process.
Method 1 to Pre-Install on Mobile Devices Travelers may begin pre-installing update resources by going to the Paimon Menu > Settings > Resources > Pre-Install Resource Package.
Method 2 to Pre-Install on Mobile Devices Travelers may also begin pre-installing update resources by tapping the “Pre-Install Resource Package” icon on the bottom-left corner of the login menu.
- PC
A “Pre-Install” button will appear to the left of the “Start Game” button in the launcher. Click “Pre-Install” to download the latest game resources.
Using the pre-installation function (even without completing the process) can speed up the update progress of the launcher during version updates.
- PlayStation®
When Travelers launch the game “Genshin Impact” and sufficient storage space is available, the device will automatically initiate the pre-installation of “Genshin Impact” after a while.
