The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) unveiled the nominees, with Expedition 33 tied for the most nominations alongside the PlayStation 5 exclusive Ghost of Yōtei. Most notably, the game is once again in contention for the prestigious Game of the Year award. It will compete against ARC Raiders, Blue Prince, Dispatch, and its fellow frontrunner, Ghost of Yōtei.

This recognition follows the game’s breakout success in 2025, where it captured nine awards at The Game Awards, including the top prize and Best Performance for Jennifer English’s portrayal of Maelle. The D.I.C.E. nominations validate its lasting impact, honoring its achievements in categories like Outstanding Achievement in Story, Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction, Role-Playing Game of the Year, and Original Music Composition.

The developer has sustained momentum by supporting the game post-launch, releasing a substantial free “Thank You Update” in December that added a challenging new endgame dungeon, additional costumes, weapons, and language localizations.
