BGMI 4.0 Update
Krafton has officially launched the highly anticipated BGMI 4.0 update, titled “Spooky Soiree,” bringing a festive Halloween theme and a significant arsenal of new features to Battlegrounds Mobile India. The update began its rollout to Android users on September 11, 2025, marking a major refresh for the popular battle royale game.
The centerpiece of this update is the introduction of Ghostie, a spectral companion that follows players throughout the match, offering a suite of powerful active and passive skills that can drastically change gameplay dynamics. Ghostie’s abilities include transforming into a floating balloon for aerial mobility, a large shield for defense, and even repairing armor automatically.
The update also bolsters firepower with the addition of a new mortar weapon, providing teams with devastating long-range explosive capabilities for new tactical strategies. Further enhancing the combat experience are new realistic reload animations and pistol mechanics, adding a layer of immersion to every firefight.
The classic map, Erangel, receives a seasonal makeover. The town of Lipovka has been redesigned with new structures and points of interest, offering fresh loot opportunities and strategic challenges for players to explore.
For players defeated early, a new “Prankster Ghost” mode allows them to remain in the game temporarily, transforming into a spirit that can scan enemies, become a damaging bomb, or shield teammates.
The Spooky Soiree update is now available for download on Android devices via the Google Play Store.

- Open the Google Play Store on your Android device.
- Search for “BGMI” or “Battlegrounds Mobile India”.
- Select the official app by KRAFTON, Inc.
- Tap “Update” (or “Install” if you don’t have the game).
- Launch the game and complete the in-game resource download.
