Battlefield 6 Patch Ahead of Season 1
Battlefield 6 players can look forward to substantial improvements to the game’s progression system with a newly announced patch arriving before Season 1 launches on October 28. The update represents the latest in a series of community-focused changes that have characterized the game’s successful post-launch support.

The developers at Battlefield Studios revealed the upcoming changes through an official post on the Battlefield subreddit, emphasizing their commitment to addressing “initial concerns on progression and community experiences.” This direct engagement with player feedback has become a hallmark of Battlefield 6’s ongoing development approach.
The most significant adjustments focus on accelerating player progression, which some community members had described as feeling too slow. Match completion XP will receive a 10% increase, while the daily bonus XP will see a more substantial 40% boost. These changes should help players advance through the game’s progression systems more quickly and feel better rewarded for their time investment.
Additionally, the patch addresses the issue of “XP farm” servers that have been occupying server slots while offering minimal gameplay value. The developers announced they’re “developing adjustments that are intended to diminish the number of XP farms taking up server space while further emphasizing playing with friends on both custom and verified experiences.”
This cleanup will require some technical maintenance, including requiring players to republish their custom experiences after the update goes live. The change should make it easier for players to find legitimate matches and improve overall server availability.
While the progression improvements have been well-received, some community members noted the absence of changes to Conquest mode’s recently adjusted ticket count. The modification, which made matches end faster, has proven unpopular with portions of the player base who prefer the mode’s traditional longer format.
