Battlefield 6 Visibility Issues
Battlefield 6 has been praised for its stunning visuals and intense large-scale warfare, but one persistent issue has frustrated players: spotting enemies in shadowy corners. Now, a developer has officially acknowledged the problem and confirmed that fixes are in the pipeline for upcoming updates.

Florian Le Bihan, a Principal Game Designer at Battlefield Studios, took to social media to address community feedback directly. He confirmed that the team is aware that player model visibility “isn’t great” in certain situations and stated they “will be iterating on it for the upcoming updates.”
The issue is particularly pronounced with “players that are hard to see in dark areas, especially when prone,” Le Bihan noted. This specific scenario, where a camouflaged soldier can be nearly invisible against dark backgrounds, has led to frustrating deaths that feel unfair to many players.
Not really, it's not good that's for sure. We're discussing player visibility constantly and will be iterating on it for the upcoming updates. It won't be all in a single update as there is a lot to look at and it's a balance to strike between art and gameplay.

Le Bihan explained that solving this won’t happen in one single patch, as it’s a complex challenge. “There is a lot to look at and it’s a balance to strike between art and gameplay,” he said. The goal is to make players easier to spot for competitive clarity without compromising the game’s atmospheric and realistic visual design.

The community’s response to the announcement has been mixed. While many players welcomed the news, relieved that a key pain point is being addressed, others argued that dark areas should remain a tactical advantage for stealthy players. This highlights the delicate balance developers must strike in a tactical shooter.

This commitment to fine-tuning the experience follows Battlefield 6’s active post-launch support. The game’s first season is concluding with the “Ice Lock Empire State” event on December 9, which will add a new melee weapon and final seasonal content.
