Despite the reported delays to its mainstream refresh, NVIDIA may be cooking up something even more extreme for the high-end market. According to a new report from industry publication Overclocking.com, NVIDIA is actively developing a new “halo” graphics card positioned above the current GeForce RTX 5090, with a target release window in the third quarter of 2026.
The new product, speculated to be either a GeForce RTX 5090 Ti or a return of the legendary Titan branding, would serve as the absolute performance champion of the Blackwell generation. Sources indicate the project has moved past early planning, with board-level design work already underway at add-in-board partners.
The 5090 Ti or Titan Rumor: A New King for the Back-to-School Season
The report, which claims to be based on multiple industry sources across different companies and regions, states that this ultra-high-end card is targeting the “back-to-school” period in early Q3 2026. It is explicitly described as separate from the now-delayed RTX 50 “SUPER” refresh, suggesting it is a distinct, niche product meant to sit at the very peak of the lineup.
No specifications were provided, leaving key questions about its core configuration, memory capacity (which would likely be enormous), and power consumption unanswered. The mere existence of such a project, however, signals that NVIDIA sees room for an even more powerful statement product within the current generation.

NVIDIA has a recent history of developing extreme halo prototypes that never reach retail.
