The new Dynamic Multi Frame Generation is driver-controlled and intelligently adapts in real-time. Its primary goal is to hit a user’s target refresh rate—like 144 Hz or 240 Hz—as efficiently as possible, rather than always generating the maximum number of frames.

For example, in a graphically intense scene where the base frame rate drops, the driver might activate the new 6x multiplier to recover smoothness. Then, in a lighter scene, it could seamlessly scale down to a 3x or 2x multiplier. According to press demos, this switching happens quickly and without noticeable artifacts, ensuring the system only works as hard as it needs to.

The April update will also unlock the MFG 6x mode for GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards. This represents a substantial leap in potential frame generation, capable of creating up to five AI frames for every single rendered frame from the game.
