This Viral GTA 6 Clip
The hype for Grand Theft Auto VI is so immense that any whisper of new content can send the internet into a frenzy. Recently, a video began circulating online, claiming to show a shocking new leak of GTA 6 footage captured from inside Rockstar Games’ own studios.

The clip, which spread across social media platforms like Twitter, purported to show the character Jason walking topless. The account sharing it claimed the video was filmed secretly within a Rockstar building, suggesting a major new security breach.
For a moment, fans were stunned, believing they were looking at never-before-seen gameplay from the highly anticipated title. The memory of the massive 2022 leak, which revealed over 50 minutes of early development footage, made the claim seem all too plausible.
However, the excitement was short-lived. The gaming community’s expert sleuths quickly stepped in to investigate, and the so-called “leak” was officially debunked within hours.
Fake!

It comes from a screenshot of a tweet dated 1 January 2025, which was modified by adding a video to it.
What's more, the screenshot is certainly much older than the tweet that used it ?!

Dedicated GTA fan accounts, such as GTA Assassin and D4RKSTORM, provided clear evidence that the video was not what it seemed. They identified the clip as a manipulated version of a much older image from Rockstar’s San Diego office. The “footage” was likely created using AI or video morphing techniques superimposed onto a still screenshot.
This rapid debunking highlights a key dynamic in the modern gaming news cycle: while fake leaks and AI-generated content can spread quickly, a vigilant and knowledgeable community is often just as fast to separate fact from fiction.
With Grand Theft Auto VI’s release date set for November 2026, the long wait can understandably make fans eager for any scrap of new information. Unfortunately, this eagerness can sometimes be exploited by those seeking attention with fabricated content.
