Elden Ring Nightreign DLC Release Window
Confusion surrounding the release date for the upcoming Elden Ring Nightreign DLC has finally been cleared up, thanks to a new report from FromSoftware’s parent company. While the Deluxe Edition promised DLC by “Q4 2025,” it turns out this refers to the first few months of 2026, not the end of this year.

The clarification comes from Kadokawa Corporation‘s recent Q2 earnings results. For Kadokawa’s fiscal year, the fourth quarter (Q4) runs from January 1 to March 31, 2026. This means the highly anticipated additional content for Nightreign is officially slated for an early 2026 release, specifically within that three-month window.
This clears up a common point of misunderstanding for fans who were expecting the DLC to drop in October, November, or December of 2025. The “Future Outlook” section of Kadokawa’s business overview directly references the DLC, reaffirming this Q4 2025 (Jan-Mar 2026) timeline.
Alongside the release window news, dataminers have been busy uncovering what players can expect from the expansion. Following the game’s latest patch, files were discovered that hint at the return of formidable enemies from the critically acclaimed Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, suggesting a continuation of the challenging combat and rich lore that defines the Elden Ring universe.
