According to GameRoll, a well-known GTA insider who accurately leaked details about protagonists Jason and Lucia before the second trailer, the game’s final chapter is facing major development hurdles.

In a recent Discord post (via Dexerto), GameRoll claimed:

  • The later parts of GTA 6’s story are being reworked.
  • The final chapter has been stuck in “development hell” for a while.
  • A significant portion of the ending was cut, forcing Rockstar to rewrite and redesign parts of it.

GameRoll previously stated that GTA VI would have five chapters, but the trailers have only shown content from the first half. This could mean the latter parts of the game are still unfinished, potentially pushing the release further back—possibly to late 2026 or even 2027.
